MEET BRADLEY LAUDER

Bradley first visited Ōkere Falls as a fledgling teenage whitewater slalom kayaker in the late 1990s. In his mind, Ōkere Falls and the Kaituna River was some kind of nirvana. Fast forward to 2007, Bradley found himself living in this paradise! An avid white water kayaker, you can find him carving in and out of eddies, over waterfalls and taking in the amazing Kaituna river gorge scenery… that’s when he’s not out on the lake, or mountain biking or motorbiking in nearby forests. He is now proudly raising his young family here in Ōkere Falls – the next generation of white water kayakers.

Rotorua Kayaking offers a variety of kayaking adventures on Lake Rotoiti and the Kaituna River. This includes freedom rentals of inflatable kayaks for an Ohau Channel float or SUP/Stand Up Paddleboard trips and rentals. For more information and bookings go to Brad’s website rotoruakayaking.co.nz

Rotorua Kayaking

In 2014 Bradley bought Kaituna Kayaks, a kayak school based on the shores of Lake Rotoiti. In 2019 he rebranded their scenic kayak tours (sea kayaking and inflatable rentals), and Rotorua Kayaking was born. Kayaking is an amazing sport that can take you places that not many get to see, so come along and enjoy the fun and amazing places with us.
Our mission is to show you around our beautiful backyard!

While overseas tourists were a large portion of the market for Rotorua Kayaking, the business has always catered to the Kiwi market – it’s in our blood to get out, get active and explore our amazing country and waterways. Our other main offering, which has always been predominantly popular with New Zealanders, is Grade 2 Coast to Coast kayak training, available through Kaituna Kayaks.
